The detachable head support was very reassuring that their little heads did not twist or "flop" over when the vehicle turned. When they out grow the bean shaped support pillows, they come right out and your baby's head is still supported by the secondary support pillow. Eventually (around 5 months for my babies) you take out the secondary support. The "air" cushions seem to assist in comfort from that stage :)I have not noticed any pinching or issues at all with the harness between my babies legs...The base is SUPER easy to install! Especially if you are using the anchor system! There are pictures on the base and really you just would have to try to get that wrong..The material is very durable so far (7 months) no rips, or unwinding. That brings me to one of the only 3 improvements that I could think of.1) The material is durable, however, under babies legs/feet you start to notice balling of the fabric. Like when fabrics rub together. I removed it with a little lint trimmer.2) The instruction manual states to wash the seat using a damp cloth and that it is not machine washable. Well I washed it.... it came out fine, I washed them on a gentle setting then tumble dry no heat, and they came out as good as new :) Thankfully! Being able to wash the cloth was a big deal for me. Babies are kinda messy!3) The only other thing that I could even think of to improve would be the handle. It is sturdy and has a great rubber grip, I just wish it was a little more economical, but that may just be due to the fact that I carry two. These are the 3rd and 4th infant seats I have parented thru and by far the best. I would recommend them to just about anyone!Also- They fit very well in the Joovy Big Caboose

It seems like a great one, and I ordered it with excitement and anticipation.I got the seat in and was looking it over, and it seems really solidly built, and is a good looking seat. HOWEVER, I turned it over to take a quick look at the back and immediately noticed that THE SEAT WAS MANUFACTURED IN MAY 2010!!!. The carseat, new in box, was shipped to me in late October 2012, was TWO AND A HALF YEARS OLD!.I called Amazon, as it is illegal to use these carseats after 5 years from the date of manufacture, and they agreed. Shipped me a replacement, at no cost, even expedited it.Unbelievably, the replacement was also MANUFACTURED IN MAY 2010. I called again, and they could only offer me a refund and told me to go somewhere else to get the seat.I am very dissapointed in Amazon on this. I have done a lot of business with them, never with a problem. However, this is a HUGE problem. Its not just the inconvenience factor to me, but what really bothers me is that many folks may not look at the date on the bottom of the seat. I just do not see how a company can sell something with 50% of its useful life gone for full price. Please, if you order this seat, take a look at the date of manufacture! Within a year, I can understand, but any longer than that shouldnt be tolerated. As for me, now I am back to square one, with a baby due any day now, 2 weeks wasted, and no car seat.

4 of 4 people found the following review helpful. When our son was born premature, a nurse recommended that we get a car seat where the minimum weight started at 4 pounds as a better fit for our preemie. A relative recommended this car seat to us, and we were thrilled when we read that this car seat is made for 4 to 35 lbs! Our son is turning one in 4 days and we are still using this car seat! The car seat is high quality and the colors are vibrant. It has a weight gauge on the side that shows if you have it installed correctly for the baby's weight. It is everything that we could have asked for in a car seat! So, considering that we have been able to use it for a year, the price paid was well worth it! We got our money's worth and felt that our child was well protected because the minimum weight started at 4 pounds.
