3 of 4 people found the following review helpful.Orbit baby infant carseat is one of the safest carseats out on the market. Yes it is expensive, but it is definitely worth the investment! The rotating carseat base makes it one of the easiest carseats to install and makes it almost fool-proof to install correctly and safely. The orbit also allows you to keep your baby in the infant seat for longer as it supports a higher rear-facing weight than most carseats making it compliant with the recommendations from the American Academy of Pediatrics (APA), which recommends that infants stay in infant carseats up until 1 year of age. The Orbit Toddler seat is also wonderful and safe and we currently have our 2 year old still rear facing in it. The APA currently recommends keeping children rear facing until at least 2 years of age, but the British recommendations actually encourage keeping children rear facing until 4 years! With Orbit baby, you can keep your children safe and they do rotate very easily to forward facing when you and your child are ready to turn the carseat around!
