5 of 5 people found the following review helpful.Like most parents, I did a TON of research on strollers and was torn between the Uppa Cruz and this Crimson CM GT. We ended up going with the City Mini GT, and are pleased (but not blow away). The stroller itself looks nice. We liked the grey and crimson combination (both my husband and mine alma mater colors). The stroller rides smooth, and my son seems comfortable in it. It does not take up my entire trunk (Honda Civic). Quirks are:1) THE BASKET IS TERRIBLE. Even though they redesigned and swooped the bar low for 2013 (into a U) getting baby bag in and out is a battle. Every time. And we do not not have a massive baby bag, a Skip Hop duo. Every time I see another stroller with a large basket and easy access (like the Uppa Cruz or even a Graco!), I get serious stroller envy.2) The one handed fold is nice, but for myself, I still have to use two hands to guide it shut and place in the trunk of my car. The lock ALWAYS catches on the fabric part of the stroller and never closes correctly. I have to pull the fabric out of the way, for it to catch.3) It's not light weight. Weighs in at about 22lbs, so I still need to use two hands and a little upper body strength.TIP: The Baby Jogger parent caddy is lame. Get the Britax parent console- it fits perfectly and is much better. Can hold two cups and parent items. You do not need to remove to collapse stroller. While we are satisfied with our purchase, we don't LOVE the stroller like I was hoping to. So, 4 stars.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. We have owned everything from the Baby Orbit system to a $10 umbrella stroller. This stroller is by far the most versatile and useful. From an infant to a 5yr old, you won't regret this purchase. We even used it in Disney and it was great with all the transportation requirements. No regrets here except not purchasing sooner!
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. We had been using this product for closeto 5 months now. We registered for the crimson and grey color through AMAZON and received it as a generous gift from my sister! I noticed that the the crimson color is not available at some retailers like BuyBuyBaby. I was overwhelmed with the stroller choices and registered for this sight unseen ( I do not recommend this) due to its seemingly great fit with our lifestyle: travel by car, take long walks, suburban living who frequent the city.I am a design junkie and we practice attachment parenting and was considering the stokke scoot, stokke xplory, uppa baby cruz, and the mountain buggy cosmopolitan -- all for the parent facing feature and ease of use and at some point purchased and checked out the above strollers-that was when I realized that our city mini gt is a keeper and possibly the only stroller we will own.Pros of city mini gt- like another reviewer, I have no upper body strength (5 ft 1"; 128 lbs) so the weight at 21 lbs is manageable for me but I need both hands to fold/ unfold the stroller. The other strollers are just too heavy for me! The added features = additional weight!--------The uppababy cruz although only 22 lbs is so bulky and awkward when folded that it was impossible for me to carry it up and down the steps or even to pick-up! The carry handle on it is useless for me! Two spokes stick up when folded and I am afraid that I will hurt myself or my car with them!---------stokke scoot is 26 lbs and is not a 1 handed fold for me --it was hard for me to fold as I am a weakling! Their 3 yr warranty is awesome! Although it is 26 lbs, I found that it was easier for me to lift this and put in my trunk compared to the 22 lb uppababy Cruz. My hubby is not crazy about the design though so I had to pass :(---------stokke xplory is 23 lbs and the personalization is amazing but it will take up my trunk space plus it is a 5 step fold! This is an awesome stroller for city dwellers!---------mountainbuggy cosmopolitan is 26 lbs too! The head room is really crappy though! The handle is not adjustable but I am considering this as a second stroller for city adventures-- we'll see since like I already mentioned I am a weakling! This is the only stroller in my short list that I have not tried.- folds flat so great for our trunk space, suburban living and our frequent city excursions- adjustable handle accommodates both short ( i am 5ft 1") and tall parent( hubby is 6 ft)- can be maneuvered with 1 hand on even terrain even with a heavy baby ( 4 months and already 16 lbs) in the car seat w adaptor by all his babysitters: 30 yrs through mid60's-AWESOME canopy!!- lie flat option moonlights as a portable changing station-baby always sleeps a few minutes into his buggy ride!- easy hand operated break-multiple recline optionsCons-not great for uneven sidewalks with broken and severely angled concrete-I sometimes have difficulty traversing normal mommy terrain of grass, mulch with the adaptor and car seat-- I hope this improves once we use just the stroller without the car seat- I hate the Velcro on the peek a boo!!! Great way to wake a sleeping baby!!!-useless basket! I always carry a large diaper bag and pretty much function like a mule during our city visits and day tripsBottom line is this is a great utilitarian stroller! I highly recommend it!-
