3 of 3 people found the following review helpful.I've been using Orbit strollers for over two years and I own pretty much every product they produce for a good reason -- they work. This is my second stroller base that I purchased after birth of my second daughter.Any stroller will have compromises among functionality, reliability, convenience, and portability. What sets Orbit apart is with their engineering prowess and attention to detail they minimized these compromises and they found an optimal balance they makes for a product that is easy to use and that gives parents more freedom to focus on their children. What's also very important, Orbit did not compromise at all when it comes to child's safety.Orbit is the only stroller that I am aware of that allows you to roll it all the way to the airplane with a toddler car seat attached, give the base to gate agents (safely packed into a travel bag, ensuring you actually get it back in one piece at your destination) and then carry the toddler seat only the length of the airplane. We traveled with the stroller to Europe and we had no trouble getting it through security or getting around in the airport. Same works when we rent a car -- we can put the car seat on the base and roll it to the garage without having to carry anything heavy. We can even take the car seat out of the car and put it on the base without waking up a sleeping child.The storage options with side panniers is very convenient and helped us on many occasions.The base is also very reliable -- it rolls fine over uneven sidewalks and even on unpaved ground in parks. The suspension keeps the child comfortable. The ability to rotate the child away from sun or wind or just to accommodate the child's desire to see more of parents or more of the surroundings is invaluable. And the fact that this rotation does not require parents to detach or lift the seat is amazing and adds to both safety and convenience. We pushed the stroller through snow blizzard and torrential rains, strong side winds, deep puddles, and it just worked.The stroller works in public transportation too. We took it collapsed with toddler seat on buses on many occasions. It also worked well on subway were we could park the stroller in a way where it presents minimal inconvenience to other passengers yet turn the child at 90 degrees to face us. This also worked well for feeding in parks by benches or in outdoor restaurant seating.I keep reviewing other stroller periodically to make sure we have the most effective solution, and every time I get convinced that Orbit is by far the best stroller for city and travel. I very much look forward to the release of their double model in Spring 2012.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful.I have all the orbit car seats solely for chemical free properties - but was trying desperately to avoid forking over cash for this stroller. I am a baby wearing mama and was hoping I'd just baby wear until....Well I came to point where we both needed a stroller and after seeing friends on their 2nd, 3rd $200+ strollers decided to get exactly what I wanted the very first time. AND this stroller is it! I am only 4'9" and this thing is so lightweight, easy to maneuver, fold, load up, hoist into back of my car, steer one handed while I hold hubbies hand, steer through tight shopping stores to browse items, pull in super tight to a two top table for dinner (people are amazed at this), SPF hood protects LO from sun as does the 360degree base which I move constantly to keep hsi feet/etc out of sun. It gets LOTS of attention is the one downside - but it is so awesome I don't mind telling people because I want them to have the same great product. I LOVE this product as I do all their car seats. I would have forgone all my baby items if the Orbit items were all we could afford. ALL of them have made life with a newborn and now infant so much easier and safer.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful.its expensive, but for me it has been worth it. Its light and easy to use, the fact that it breaks down in about 2 seconds is great. I have never had any other stroller so I can't compare it to others, but I am very happy with it.
